"and a school ... "

Happy Holidays!  Merry Christmas!  Happy Hanukkah!  Joyous Kwanzaa!

Whatever your way of celebrating, let's celebrate!

Who needs snow - we have four more months to enjoy that, right!?

We thought Christmas was fun last year, but this year takes the cake.  And the candy cane.  And the sprinkle-frosted cookie.

We are not lacking in sugar - that is for sure.

All this sugar has, of course, made Miss Braylie even sweeter than usual, because you know - sugar has that effect on kids.  (HA!  haha ... ha.)

Not to worry, we have had many sugarless treats to occupy our little elf, too.  Our house is downright Merry!

Our real (and deceased) tree was the last decoration to make it into the Hildemann house this year, but it was totally worth it.  If nothing else, watching Daddy trying to maneuver it into its stand is always entertaining.

I'm very good at watching.  And taking pictures.

Braylie took the initiative to give Daddy a hand this year.

I think she just wanted to claim the credit.

She wasn't afraid to get down and dirty, but managed to remember to not get her shirt dirty.

(or she got it dirty and we had to remove it.  whatever.)

Mommy had to get in on the Christmas portrait action, too.  We simply can't trust Daddy to things like taking pictures.  Kidding, Daddy!  I can't recall where Daddy was during this photo ... perhaps cleaning the sap and pine needles out of his arm hair.  It's dangerous work, people.

Not bad for a self-timer shot, though - eh!

We made it in the 'Nick' of time to the Garden Factory on Sunday to catch a glimpse and have a chat with the big man in red.

'Nico-Tino' met us there and the three kids were all smiles ear-to-ear the entire time.

You can't buy these expressions.

(You can buy similar ones, but these smiles were brought to you by the free train display - the only free attraction in the Garden Factory winter wonderland.  Mommy and Daddy were smiling, too.)

Braylie finally got to give Santa her wish list.  Hope he has enough time to make all those toys!

Last we heard, she wanted a chalk board, and a blue car, and a red car ... and a SCHOOL.

Yup, a school - you read it right.

Good luck, Santa!

Happy Holidays everyone!!
